The ISAP2023 travel grants program has been created to provide students some assistance to enable them to attend conferences. Only ISAP2023 student IEEE/IEICE/IET members may qualify for an ISAP2023 conference reimbursement through the ISAP2023 Travel Grant Program, and must be attend the conference physically to present his/her research paper.
ISAP2023 Travel Grants, with a budget sponsored by Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) will be determined by the Organizing Committee of ISAP2023. These grants are not available for honoraria to regular participants. A travel grant is intended to supplement other sources of funding for individuals on the program at the annual convention or conference, it is not meant to cover all the expenses incurred, and will be distributed during the conference upon receipt of eligible documentation. Only eligible expenses will be reimbursed and ISAP2023 reserves the right to determine reasonable prices for items purchased and will reimburse based on those prices.
ISAP2023 Travel Grants will open for 10 slots only. 5 slots for students who studies in local (Malaysia) universities and another 5 slots for students who studies in oversea (outside Malaysia) universities. ISAP2023 Travel Grants will cover only for travel and accommodation expenses only with a maximum amount of grant shall be RM1,000.00 per person.
Below are the guidelines to apply the ISAP2023 Travel Grants:
1. An applicant must have been an IEEE/IEICE/IET member to qualify for travel support.
2. He must have a paper/poster accepted at the conference. Priority will be given where a paper is accepted at an ISAP2023. Low priority will be given to poster papers.
3. Closing dates for applications are 1 October 2023.
4. An applicant must indicate all other sources of funds that he has or intends to apply and its outcome.
5. The maximum amount of grant shall be RM1,000.00 per person.
6. In the selection for travel grants, the Organizing Committee of ISAP2023 shall take into account the applicant’s quality of the paper. The applicant must also attend the conference physically to present the papers to qualify for the Travel Grant.
7. The application shall be made on an official application form available from ISAP2023 Website.
8. Any incomplete application shall be declined.
9. The successful applicant will be notified by 15 October 2023 via email.
